Thanks Starvark!

Starvark was kind enough to let me know folks couldn't comment freely on this blog. So I changed the settings so anyone can comment.

Thanks, again Starvark. :D

Howard Dean On "Meet The Press"

I watched halfway through the interview & from what I could tell, Dean did quite well.

He seems to be a good choice to be DNC head, because he doesn't take any lip.

Kinda makes me wish he were president.

Bush Removes All Doubt

Friday, w. proved his stupidity by vowing to veto a bipartisan bill that would allow federal financing for potentially life-saving stem-cell research (it has over 200 sponsors, including 24 republicans).

Typical.

About Those Tax-Cuts...

The other day I was talking with a guy at work about taxes. He bitches a lot about taxes (I think it's because he makes $40k a year). He's a contractor & has his own business. And he's a republican. I asked him how w.'s tax-cuts have helped him. He said they didn't help him at all. They only helped the rich people.

Couldn't have said it better, myself. :)

Next time I see him I'll ask him if he'd vote for w. again, if he had the chance... ;)

w. And The Grenade

According to the FBI, the grenade supposedly thrown at w. during his recent visit to the former soviet republic of Georgia was live but didn't explode.

Assuming you believe the FBI (who is apparently investigating anti-war groups), this is bad.

Let it be known, I do not condone violence against U.S. presidents, even one as stupid & morally bankrupt as w. is.

'Nuff said.

My First Posting

I noticed in the paper today they were talking about republicans killing the filibuster for judicial nominees.

I'd be interested to see what happens after they do that. Or if they do it.

The filibuster is something the republicans should not mess with. They won't be the majority forever. They should think about that.

I'd be happy if all seven nominees were dropped. It would give the Democrats a victory over the republican fascists & would give w. a black eye all at the same time. :)

But they'll probably compromise.
